Die LMP1- und GT-Rennwagen von Aston Martin trugen die mythische Farbkombination von Gulf Oil in hellblau und orange für fast ein Jahrzehnt in Le Mans. Der DBR9 als GT1-Klassensieger (Mitte links), der aus dem Lola entwickelte AMR1-2 der 2009 als Vierter der Gesamtwertung ins Ziel kam (ganz rechts), der innovative aber zerbrechliche AMR-One von Le Mans 2012 (ganz links) und der Vantage GTE, der ebenfalls 2012 einen LM GTE Pro Podiumsplatz einfuhr (Mitte rechts) haben alle den Rang einer Gulf-Ikone erreicht.
